Travel Weekly News
The Taste History Culinary Tour is a multidistrict trip featuring emerging art, history and cultural food in the West Palm Beach area. Bus-and-walking tours run year-round and include stops at family-owned eateries and bakeries, narrated local history and evolving art districts in off-the-beaten-path areas.
Taste History rotates three itineraries each Saturday of the month. The first Saturday is West Palm Beach and Lake Worth; the second Saturday is Lake Worth and Lantana; the third and fourth Saturdays are Delray Beach and Boynton Beach. Tours start at 11 a.m. and last three to four hours; the fee is $50 to $60 per adult (free for children under age 14).
Taste History was established in 2011 as an educational program by the non-profit Museum of Lifestyle & Fashion History. Since 1999, the museum has curated 20 design-related exhibits and began its heritage tours in 2004 with the popular Narrated Bus Tours of Historic Delray Beach. Combining the attendance of the Narrated Bus Tours with the Taste History Culinary Tours of Historic Palm Beach County, which was added in 2011, nearly 14,000 people have been hosted on these cultural weekly and monthly tours.
