Boca Woods Country Club treated to Turkish cuisines, local art and Bahamian culture on Culinary Tour

The Taste History Culinary Tour hosted on March 20th for the Boca Woods Country Club traveled the world without leaving Palm Beach County, Florida.

The residents from Boca Woods experienced a symphony of food, art and culture in Delray Beach and Boynton Beach, Florida.

Sefa specializes in gourmet Turkish cuisines that dates back to the reign of Osman Bey of the Ottoman Empire that was established in year 1300 in Turkey. Cuisines that evolved during the Ottoman Empire are considered Levantine (which means Eastern Mediterranean). Turkey is the only country that spans 2 continents - Europe and Asia - therefore it's referred as a Eurasian country. Its unique positioning between two continents has also influenced the country's foodways and food cultures that have incorporated edible elements from bordering and neighboring countries that include Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Russsia, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Israel, Iran, Iraq and the continent of Africa.

The Boca Woods epicurean tour also traveled to Dee Dee's Conch & Rib Shack, the Sundy House, The Organic Tea Bar, Scuola Vecchia Pizza e' Vino, Le Macaron French Pastry Shop, CIB Art Gallery, The Little House and the Industrial Arts Districts.  They ate gourmet foods, and met chefs and local artists.  CIB Art Gallery is the newest art gallery to join the Taste History Culinary Tour.  Macy's is the presenting sponsor of Taste History.
