Ginger snaps cooking demo and tour of Boynton's art galleries kicked-off the holiday season for the Culinary Tour

The non-profit Taste History Culinary Tour kicked-off the Holiday Season on December 1, 2012 with a food tasting, history and art tour of Boynton Beach, Florida.

Taste History traveled to five eateries and four art galleries including a guided tour of the Boynton Beach Neighborhood Art District (aka The Industrial Arts District).  Food tastings were hosted at the Secret Garden Cafe where the tour guests were treated to a ginger snaps cooking demonstration conducted by Bonnie Brown of Bonnie's Best Bite.  The Secret Garden Cafe is a farm-to-fork eatery that operates the Urban Farm which the tour guests also viewed.  Other food tastings were at the Ocean Avenue Green Market, Palermo's Bakery, The Little House and Bun Bun Authentic Jamaican American Cafe.  The art galleries on the tour loop were Art-Sea Living that included an art-making project that was followed by a visit to the Beachcomber Art Gallery and a trip to Boynton's Industrial Arts District for a walking tour and visits to the Denny Reed Art Gallery and Richard Beau Lieu Art Gallery.  Ginger Pedersen, who co-wrote Pioneering Palm Beach: The Deweys and The South Florida Frontier, gave a lecture about Boynton's pioneering Dewey family.  The tour also traveled to Macy's at the Boynton Beach Mall where Macy's gifted each tour guests with exclusive shopping discounts.
